MARATHON! - Afternoon Family Block

In celebration of our 20th season, The Playground is planning a 20-hour MARATHON! This event will be broken into four blocks, each at a new location to expand audience outreach. MARATHON will be structured to highlight all that we do as an ensemble and organization: concerts, community music-making, and more.

Highlights of our afternoon session include:

  • Family music-making workshops, including creation and reading of graphic scores, soundpainting, our mobile electronic music station, and instrument building.

  • “Tuning Meditation,” a community music-making piece.

  • Playground String Quartet masterworks concert.
